At your age you can work out rigorously five days a week. This can include lifting weights and lots of cardio. It might surprise you to learn that even at your age though a heart rate monitor can have enormous benefits. The main one is to be able to set target ranges and to work within them. This allows you to compare your fitness levels as you progress.
